Report Reveals Most 'Highly Qualified' Teachers Across U.S.
Ninety-four percent of U.S. schools are taught by highly qualified teachers in core academic subjects.

It’s been a long five years since educators around the U.S. have to come know (and perhaps loathe) the term ‘highly qualified.’ The U.S. Department of Education has been following the issue closely and has recently released data about which classrooms around the country are being taught by ‘highly qualified’ teachers. This study shows a 7% improvement from the 2003-2004 data.

All U.S. Schools
On average, 94% of U.S. core academic classes are taught by highly qualified teachers. Not bad, right? Seventy-six percent of the states fall between 90-100%, with only 12 states falling below the 90% mark. A standout among all the states is North Dakota- the only state that scores 100%.
