Well, we (New Mexico) are Number 35 on the "Which States Spend the Most on Education" list. While I don't visualize the citizens of The State of Enchantment putting on oversize gloves with 35 fingers and jumping up and down while shouting: "Hurrah - we're Number 35", it could be worse (and, of course, it could be a lot better.)

Hmmm...Does Tennessee value Education. How's about....NO! Just one small example. TN Finally got a Lottery. They take all the lottery money and spend it on Pre-K and Lottery Scholarships for High school students going to college. Now I am not opposed to that, but, Now all the colleges in TN are dropping their standards so that students can keep their lottery scholarships. And trust me, They are losing them.

I really feel the bulk of that money should be spent in the k-12 arena. We must make sure the students are ready for college before giving them money and sending them off.
